Penrith Project Update – Successful Shutdown

Whyte Civil successfully completed a critical 56-hour shutdown on Andrews road on our Penrith Rising main project for West Region Delivery Team and Sydney Water

What a weekend it was! – 3500 TONNES of spoil removed – 225 METERS of trench opened at an average depth of 4m – 225 m of 630 diameter PE pipe installed and welded to existing – 600t of stab sand imported and placed – 2000 TONNES of Sandstone imported, placed and compacted –

All over a weekend and off the road by the midnight on that Sunday!

From the initial coordination to the final inspection, our teams displayed incredible professionalism and collaboration to achieve this result. A huge shout-out to all the engineers, crews, traffic controllers and our suppliers who worked around the clock to ensure this shutdown weekend was a success.

This achievement not only strengthens our infrastructure but also reinforces the importance of careful planning and teamwork in delivering high-quality results under time-sensitive conditions.
